The Powder Coating process was developed

many years ago in Europe to address environmental concerns and has the added benefit of giving significant more durable finishes than traditional wet coating.  It is a simple process in which paint in a finely ground powder form is given a positive electrical charge and sprayed onto a grounded surface with a negative charge.  The part is then placed in an oven to melt the powder which then flows and fuses into a continuous coating which is very hard and has no porosity. 

Powder coating is much more durable than wet coat.  It has

greater resistance to chipping, scratching, fading and wearing than other finishes.  They are particularly beneficial for materials that will be used outdoors. 

Ottawa Powder Coating can work with all types of metals including castings and aluminum.  We have five sources of supply for paint and can offer a wide range of colours.  Among the many finishes we can provide are:  smooth, high gloss, semi-gloss, flat, wrinkle, sandtex, self-texturing, vein, polyester, polyurethane, and TGIC.
